Millennials on a Mission
The Local Fix Foundation was born out of the desire to organize an event in the Jersey Shore community, for a good cause. In October 2019, Sasha Buerano, owner of SB Agency LLC, and Will Grundmann, CEO of Twin Lights Brewing, created the first ever Rocktoberfeast--a music and beer fundraising festival all for the benefit of the local nonprofit, A Need We Feed. The event was a huge success and integrated different businesses and members of the community. Recognizing the momentum this festival created, they decided to take this passion for event planning for a cause, by bringing on other community-centered individuals to found The Local Fix Foundation.
Meet the Team
Sasha Buerano
Executive Director & Co-Founder
Originally from Mercer County, NJ Sasha is now a current resident in Neptune City.
Sasha grew up in her father’s insurance agency and witnessed firsthand the power of being an advocate for others when they are celebrating their best moments in life, but also, and most especially, at times when they are most vulnerable. With her family, she would volunteer at local church events at the food kitchen, fundraising for refugees, visiting the elderly in nursing homes, and supporting medical missions abroad in the Philippines—her parents’ native country— through planning events like golf outings. This life long experience in service inspired her to not only start her own State Farm insurance agency in Edison, NJ, but the idea of Rocktoberfeast in 2019, which eventually led to the founding of The Local Fix Foundation!
Mia DeMagistris
External Affairs- Social Media Chair
Mia is a Monmouth University alum, originally from Staten Island.
She joined The Local Fix Foundation because she loves our mission and wanted to be part of something that was new and unique. She spends a lot of time at the Jersey Shore during both the school year and summer, so it was a no brainer for her to want to be part of something that makes the community a better place.
